Next meeting date should have been Oct 7. Minutes approved with corrections. - Announcements EIA Call for Patent Disclosure: No company declared a patent. - AR Review Minutes and documents have been updated on the web site. IBIS East Summit IQ presentation - Bob H. will compile the existing=20 IQ documentation and bring copies of complete document. Document will=20 include pointer to IBIS Accuracy Handbook to handle correlation section. - Opens for new items No new items. - Detailed Documentation review Possible Errors That should be Checked Spice and Lab correlation Typ, Min, Max values: ibischk checks for numerical order. Item 8: should be "too few points". Item 9: "applies only to simulation models". Intent is realistic edge rate into buffer inputs. Example would be input taken from a chain of three inverters. Somewhat fuller discussion of how this impacts model accuracy would be useful. Move Item 9 to the bottom as guidance, rather than checklist item. Or perhaps in a section on "what you need to know before simulating". This is a model maker item, rather thsn something the user can check. Item 10: Any V-t table delay not due to the buffer itself should be removed. IBIS 4.0 notes that V-t tables need to be aligned relative to the same time reference. If V-t data collection starts after N clock cycles, then N*period can be subtracted directly from the V-t table time. User check: is the total time of rising waveform + falling waveform should be less than the maximum cycle period of the buffer. Could note that different simulators can treat leading and trailing dead time differently. Item 12 was removed. Item 13: replace TTL with Open Sink (Open Source) model, include importance of using typ/min/max standard loads. Item 14: Sometimes [Ramp] gives better correlation than V-t tables. Defer discussion to next meeting. - Plans for next meeting Continue review of this document.
